Active Bed Support: ABS

BASF active bed supports are uniform spheres of activated alumina produced by BASF’s unique manufacturing process. Their primary use is for top and bottom bed support in adsorption units. The can also be used in catalytic applications where activated alumina is beneficial to the process.

Using ABS in place of inert media can increase unit capacity providing longer cycle times and increase the inventory life. ABS may also help minimize the effect if amines, liquid (entrained) water, compressor oils and other high MW hydrocarbons, salts. etc on the adsorbent bed.
