Dear friends and partners

It is with great pleasure that we announce UDEC's latest achievement: UDEC have been appointed as Distributors of the BASF Catalysts LLC, Adsorbents Group in Southern Africa for ALL markets and industries.

Karen-Ann Thyssen joined our team at the beginning of March. Her main responsibility is all logistical matters of our business. She has many years of experience in this field and is sharing her knowledge with the rest of the team.

It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to Franck Charrier from CECA. Fortunately he is not going far… Franck has taken the new challenge within the CECA / Arkema group and has literally just moved up one floor in the same building. We warmly welcome Franck's successor, Alexandre Terrigeol. Barbara and Hans met him recently in Germany. We experienced Alexandre as a very talented, amiable and dynamic person. We are currently planning Alexandre's first visit to South Africa for November. Details will follow closer to the time.

Hans and Barbara have just returned from the ACHEMA Exhibition in Frankfurt where they met many of our suppliers. Prior to the ACHEMA, Barbara attended the JACOBI WCF (World Carbon Forum) in Stromberg and returned with news on many exciting products and projects.

Barbara is planning numerous trips for the third quarter of 2009; including a visit to our clients in the Durban area.
