Three quarters of the year is behind us and time seems to be speeding up as we fast approach
the end of the year.
It is still winter in the Cape and it has been announced that so far we have had the highest
rainfall in 62 years! At our office we have measured 1 503 mm this year!
We have had a couple of highlights during this quarter, most prominently featuring UDEC
Trading receiving their BEE score with a proud 100% B-BBEE compliance!
The process to achieve this status has required a lot of hard work and was very time consuming
for our team, but it was found to be a challenging learning experience and of course, the result
has been most pleasing. We are now actively involved in Socio-Economical and Enterprise
developments; with a particular focus on our community, i.e. Wellington, Western Cape.
We have forwarded a copy of our certificate to the commercial departments, but please do not
hesitate to let us know should you also wish to receive a copy as well.
Furthermore, we are pleased to make known that our website had been completed:

Any comments you may have are very welcome.
Barbara, jointly with a SASOL / KBR delegation, spent a week in Europe in September visiting
our suppliers BASF in Germany, CECA in Paris and Silica in Berlin. The visit was successful and
will hopefully assist SASOL in the future.
Hans and Annelie just returned from a brief trip to Germany on a well-deserved break. They
met some of our suppliers and also visited their family.
We would like to wish you a successful and rewarding final quarter in 2008!
Your UDEC team! |
