JULY 2008

We are halfway through the year and time has truly flown! Winter is showing it’s might in the Wellington Mountains this year! We have had significantly more rain already than in the past years, with more rain predicted and already snowing this morning.

We are very pleased to report that UDEC are well under way of achieving our Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) accreditation. We sincerely thank our suppliers for their cooperation and for providing us with their ratings. Once our rating has been confirmed, we will send the certificate issued to all our clients.

Furthermore, we have been very busy upgrading our (ancient!) website. Jeroen Seynhaeve of JAMMM (www.jammm.co.za) is doing a great job and we are anxiously awaiting the final result. We will keep you updated on the process. In the meantime, we welcome any comments and advice ... Take a look at the “construction site”: www.udecprocess.com

We have also had some exciting events on our calendar:

  • Christa celebrated her 10th year with UDEC in May. She has been a most valued member of the UDEC (dream!) team and we thank her for her commitment, hard work and everlasting good humor! Christa, you truly are a treasure!
  • Hans celebrated his 60th birthday on the 7th of July. He celebrated with his friends and family (some coming all the way from Germany).

We wish everyone a wonderful 3rd quarter of 2008! Your UDEC team!
